Diversity training in the Chamber of Deputies

As part of the celebrations for the May 17 “International Day Against Discrimination Based on Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity”, #IDAHOT, AFDA, an organization belonging to the FALGBT, began a series of training the staff of the Chamber of Deputies Nation diversity.

It is a proposal for training in the legal framework of equality on which our country stands. And while these advances have been crucial in creating a fair world for LGBT people, there are many additional steps to create a working environment where LGBT people and other groups of diversity can access real equality.

Our President, Andrea Rivas, stressed that: “We welcome the decision of Human Resources of the Chamber of Deputies that this series of training has begun implementing an inclusive policy for LGBT people, trying to make sexual orientation, gender identity and expression is a daily, visible and expressly respected in the workplace issue.”
