What do we do?
We work so that the children can fully live their family diversity and personal. Promote and protect the fundamental rights of children of family diversity through concrete action axes
They are a creative space for children to express themselves through different artistic disciplines on diversity, equal opportunities, how the media shape their beliefs and practices about the role of women and girls , men and children, and helps them shape their identity free of stereotypes and gender divisions, unprejudiced, incorporating values of social inclusion, equality and non-discrimination from early childhood.
To achieve this we have the work of artists from various disciplines of culture and art, which address the following topics:
- Diversity: representation of different types of family, strengthen family identity and self - confidence to prevent bullying situations, integration of people with disabilities.
- Gender Equality: Deconstruction of gender stereotypes and roles under the slogan "colors, sports and professions are all the comrades".
- Communication: What news I have to tell and how the story? Mainstreaming gender in language and expression.
In AFDA we believe that art and culture are our allies to achieve cultural change towards inclusion, gender equality and non-discrimination.
Children's Art Workshops Family Diversity AFDA are sponsored and institutional support of the National Council of Women (Resolution No. 108 dated 11/11/2016).
They are aimed at different audiences: people who work in companies or organizations who deal with children, families, communities and others who are in charge of ensuring compliance with their rights in order to help them expand knowledge on diversity and inclusion and awareness of a childhood without discrimination.
Advocacy
We work to influence public policy and good practices that protect all types of families and ensure their full and equal rights. We fight to ensure compliance with national standards set out in the Convention on the Rights of the Child and the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (external link).
To achieve this, we work at national, state and local levels with the Government, regulatory authorities, the legislature, political actors, unions, employers, service providers and other NGOs.
Education
All people who study must be assured to study in a safe and respectful environment. It should include family diversity in the curriculum and have anti-bullying policies. Should be given tools for those studying can come out safely.

Monitoring of public policies
We make an observation during the implementation of different policies, programs and projects concerning children without discrimination, inclusion and diversity. Our goal is to analyze the extent to which the actions taken and the results obtained comply with the rules and the rights of children, girls and women, in order to detect in time any differences, obstacles or needs adjustment in its design and execution.
Research
Public policy analysis and design is essential for the rights of children and women can be at the center of them. By analyzing and researching the economic, social and legal policies understand the circumstances and factors that affect the quality of life and inclusion of children, girls and women in the country. From the research we do we can assess whether they adequately address issues such as diversity, inclusion, equal opportunities, effective legal protection.
Collaborate to develop new perspectives for public policies in force and as well as actions to improve performance and design of economic, social, legal and care provided by the state, unions and civil organizations for children programs, girls and women.
